The 2023 Neuroscience and Resonance Monthly Series

Each month, Sarah presents a 90-minute deep-dive into the latest neuroscience research on various healing topics, and how we might apply it to resonant healing. Each webinar supports us to see ourselves, and our brains, with compassion and understanding.

January 2023 – December 2023 Topics:

Body Image and Welcoming Our Physical Selves

Do you live in your mind? Have you lost touch with affection for your body? Have people told you that the way you see yourself and the way you are seen by others are two very different things? Are you sometimes bewildered by the toll that time and difficult experiences have taken on your physical being? Do you wonder how to find yourself again? The journey from disconnection to reconnection with our bodies can be difficult, but it is supported and made smoother by knowledge of the brain and how we perceive ourselves.

Join Sarah for this 90-minute webinar to explore the relational neuroscience of body image and the ways resonance can support us in seeing ourselves with warmth.

Hate and Love: Why We Feel the Way We Do

Did anyone ever tell you, “We don’t hate in this family!” Whoever that was, they did not know about brains. When love is betrayed, brains show the betrayal on fMRI’s, and people call that feeling hate. When we learn about brains and how they work, we feel more self-compassion and more self-warmth.

Join Sarah Peyton for 90 minutes to explore everything that relational neuroscience can tell us about the ins and outs of love and hate.

Narcissism and its Aftermath: Healing from Others’ Self-Centeredness

The hardest thing about having a parent or a spouse who sees no one else but themselves (the condition commonly called narcissism) is that it fractures us. The experience of only being seen as a means to an end, or as a function, breaks us into millions of tiny pieces and we lose our wholeness. How do we recover? Or at least gain solid ground? When we have an understanding of what our brains need, and the ways that narcissism results in emotional starvation, we are able to bring more self-compassion and self-understanding.

Join Sarah Peyton for a 90 minute exploration of the latest relational neuroscience on narcissism and healing.

Do you struggle with energy and physical discomfort? Do you worry about getting through the days? Are you frustrated and lonely, and do you need reliable and competent support? Toward Beloved Community: Understanding Us and Them

More than ever before I am able to be calm, clear headed and lovingly proactive in response to how I feel – what a relief! I feel liberated and as if I am finally able to be the self I always imagined I was, could be and am. I highly recommend exploring Sarah’s work.”

The Connectome: The Brain’s Road to Healing Trauma

Within the human brain, there are some 86 billion neurons making over 100 trillion connections to each other. Beginning to understand the connectome – the comprehensive map of connections between neurons in the brain, offers amazing insights into the neural circuits that underlie behavior. Understanding also provides valuable insights into the healing path and what is happening in the brain as we recover from trauma. The surprising thing about healing trauma is that we don’t erase anything from the brain – we just change the way the brain connects! Join Sarah Peyton for a 90-minute exploration of the latest science of brains and its implications for making brains good places to live after hard things happen – the connectome!

FREE: Sarah’s 2023 Process Work Exploration: Radical Being-With and Alarmed Aloneness

What if what we’ve learned about keeping ourselves emotionally at a distance when others are struggling are actually doing more harm than good?

What if this distance is the very thing that keeps us from true transformative possibility? What if rather than keeping us safe and contained, the advice we’ve received to “stay on the banks” ends up leaving both ourselves and our clients and loved ones stranded and alone? Resonant Healing is a radical departure from this mainstream paradigm.

In resonance, we shift our purpose: we move away from fixing, controlling, and “making it better” and into the radical accompaniment of just being here with you. This isn’t just a “nice thing to do,” it’s backed by the science of neuroplasticity and brain change. Watch this free process work demonstration and webinar with Sarah Peyton about the magic of accompaniment–true, deep, and substantial accompaniment– as the catalyst for emotional trauma healing. Watch a real live person receiving Resonant Support, and see for yourself.
