Description

Many of us do years of emotional labor without even knowing that what we’re doing has a name. Emotional labor is the mental and emotional energy we lay out to make sure a household or a process runs smoothly while relationships are being maintained. It can also be the requirement from others (bosses, managers, partners, parents) that we manage our emotions so that we can make the right impression on others. Join Sarah Peyton in the webinar Why Is Everything Emotional Labor? Contribution and the Brain for an exploration of the work of being relationally aware. we’ll look at the exhaustion that arises when care becomes a burden, and how resonance can help support and transform us.
