The last two decades of research into the brain have revealed that sexual abuse and trauma leave a distinct footprint in our neural structure, and have simultaneously brought us tremendous hope of healing through an understanding of the very responsive growth of our neurons and dendrites when they experience resonant understanding and support. This teleseminar shows what we know about what sexual abuse does to the brain and approaches to healing our sacred selves and our sexuality.
This recording with powerpoint visuals covers:
- Understanding the effects of sexual abuse and trauma
- Working with the ever-present past
- Healing our sexuality
- Integration and empathy
- Questions and time for integration
the audio was utterly terrible. It said “pre recorded” which didnt imply poor quality an no mix. Sarah is hard to hear, but the participants are super loud and there is buzzing noise all over. I feel super angry and pissed having spend 80,- euros. that was my christmas gift to myself. Fuck. what a waste.
Hello Lisa,
Our helpdesk sent this note on November 17th and we wanted to acknowledge the anger at having this not be what you hoped and needed. We have refunded the full $79.99 to your card. We are sorry to hear that the audio quality was so terrible; and literally distressing and activating for your nervous system, instead of being the soothing experience you were hoping for? Your frustration/fury and sadness makes sense to us. We apologize for not being more ‘care-full’ about doing a sound quality check for the items available on our web-store. We’ve started this process, after receiving your feedback!
So warmly,
Gayathri [a member of the help desk team]
