What is happening when our upper lip pulls back from our teeth, when we have a bitter taste in our mouths, when nausea starts appearing around the edges of our experience, and when we no longer have a desire to eat? It may well be that we are experiencing something in our environment as invasive, intrusive, or a violation. When we may be feeling the natural body response to such actions: Disgust. The claiming of disgust is a powerful movement toward healing and has many implications for understanding our world both systemically and personally. Over these 90 minutes, Sarah will investigate what opens to us when we begin to name and celebrate our own capacity for disgust.
