When Our Seeking is Blocked: A Creative Writing Workshop

In order to express ourselves creatively, we need to be mobilized. Join Sarah Peyton from November 1st through December 6th for a transformative exploration of the SEEKING circuit, access your creative flow, and re-connect with your life force energy through writing or other arts.

Do you long for creative freedom and the energy to pursue creative projects, but feel like the motivation is out of reach? Are you ready to make new fresh contact with your curiosity and power?

Does your writing or creative expression sometimes feel hard to access?

In order to write effectively, we need to be mobilized. What many people call “writer’s block” is actually an immobilization of our brain’s capacity to create movement, which occurs within the part of the brain called “the seeking circuit”.

The seeking circuit is the fuel for movement in our writing, for getting words onto paper, for turning our ideas into embodied realities. The seeking circuit is like our rocket fuel for letting us get out of the atmosphere and into orbit, where we can be in a state of flow. Understanding how the seeking circuit operates, and how it is working in our own subconscious, will allow us to better access our own flow. And by studying the ways that seeking can be predatory in our culture, we will work to detoxify the predatory qualities of our seeking circuits, as we reach for clean expression.

Over the course of six weeks, we will focus on the seeking circuit, and explore how mobilization and immobilization occur in our bodies through unconscious contract work, time travel, and a deep investigation into the neuroscience of predatory aggression. This exploration will provide each of us tools and thoughtful inquiry into our mobilization and immobilization as writers, artists, and creative livers of life.

Experience what’s possible when you explore and create within a resonant and welcoming space that honors the uniqueness of your truth and your voice in this 6-session series dedicated to creative process and exploration.

This 6-Session series runs from Nov. 1st through Dec. 6th, 2023

We will meet online from 8:00-9:20 AM PDT | 11:00 AM EDT | 4:00 PM BST (convert to your time zone here

What to Expect:

A warm space that creates room for the flow from thought into expression, support and resonant feedback, all in service of unblocking your creativity and more fluid expression.

In each 80-minute class, we will:

  • Begin with a free writing period
  • Explore the relational neuroscience connected to the seeking circuit, and how it impacts the ability to express and tell our truth.
  • Offer a resonance exercise or demonstration to support the movement toward free expression
  • Continue with a second free writing period
  • Create space for sharing and resonant responses to each other’s work

The classes will be recorded for participants in many time zones.

Who is this course for?

For writers, artists, explorers and creatives looking for a resonant space in which to support their creative expression. The creative process work that we’ll explore in this class is for anyone involved in, or longing to be involved in, any kind of creative pursuit.

This Course Includes Resonant Support

Get assistant support during classes – experience resonant support from experienced practitioners when you need it during class times.  Often, this work can have unexpected depth and touch on deeply held subconscious awareness and pain.  Getting support when we need it most helps participants to integrate, regulate, and have a felt experience of the transformative power of resonance. Here’s what a previous participant shared about having assistant support available during courses:

“Thank you so much for offering 1:1 support with a resonance assistant as part of the course. This opportunity has gone a long way to provide me with a personalized felt sense of the impact of this process when working with a trained and skilled person to a greater depth than I had experienced on my own. Such a gift.”
