Description
What happens when breath is interrupted by terror? How do we start breathing again when the grief or trauma has been too great? Stopped breath can bring us to birth trauma, histories of violence, illness, shock, or the impossibility of speaking? How does the body remember moments when breath could not move freely?
Breath is one of the most direct bridges between the body, the emotions, and the autonomic nervous system. In families, the breath that was stopped may belong to those who were silenced, suffocated, choked by grief, unable to cry out, unable to be born with ease, or unable to speak the truth. These interruptions can echo in later generations as anxiety, constriction, silence, collapse, or a feeling of not being fully allowed to live.
What To Expect
In this 85-minute webinar with Sarah Peyton, we will explore how Emergent Constellations can help us listen to the breath that was stopped with gentleness and respect. Participants who are facilitators will come away with a deeper understanding of breath, survival responses, voice, and the body’s longing to complete interrupted movements toward life.
