Description
What kind of silence frightens you? What kind of silence nourishes you? And what kind of silence has been waiting for someone to enter it with enough tenderness to hear what it holds?
Silence is not empty. Sometimes it holds terror, dissociation, shock, or the absence of needed response. Sometimes it holds reverence, integration, rest, and the possibility of contact with something larger than the personal self. Neuroscience shows us that the brain and body need pauses, stillness, and relational safety in order to integrate experience. Constellation work can help us distinguish between the silence of abandonment and the silence of deep holding.
What To Expect
In this 85-minute exploration with Sarah Peyton, participants will be invited to enter the silence that holds everything with curiosity and support. Participants who are also themselves facilitators will come away with a greater capacity to recognize silence as a living part of the field, and to sense when it is protective, dissociative, sacred, or integrative.
