Continuing Education (CE) Credits

We are delighted to offer continuing education (CE) credits for licensed psychologists, social workers and counselors for certain eligible live courses at Sarah Peyton. We are unable to offer credits for any other courses or professions.

This FAQ contains information that will help you determine your eligibility for CEs. Please read this FAQ prior to your training and prior to paying for your certificate.

General Questions

What are Continuing Education credits?

Continuing Education (CE) credits are a requirement for many licensed professionals to maintain their licenses or certification by continuing to receive training in their fields after completing a degree.

Are all courses at SarahPeyton.com eligible to receive continuing education credit?

Most of the live courses on SarahPeyton.com are eligible for CE credits, and you can find each course’s CE information on our webpage. If you have questions about whether a course is eligible to receive CEs, please email [email protected].

Which Continuing Education provider sponsors Sarah Peyton’s classes?

Centered Therapy Chicago (CTC) is an accredited CE provider by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Lic #268000085). CTC is able to provide CEs to licensed psychologists, social workers (LSWs and LCSWs), and counselors (LPCs and LCPCs) in the state of Illinois.*

* For licensed professionals outside of the state of Illinois, you must ensure that your state accepts CE credits from agencies accredited by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

Often there is reciprocity available for professionals in other states. We encourage you to reach out to your state’s licensing board to inquire if they will accept courses sponsored by CTC or CCA.

Would you be willing to let us know if you find out that your state accepts our coursework?! This will support us to expand our reach towards licensed professionals. We’ve heard from both recipients and our licensed provider friends how much resonance enhances their experiences and their work.

Continuing Education rules can be strict and are set by state licensing boards. We provide this information to help you determine if you meet their criteria and to support you to receive credits if possible. It is your responsibility to be familiar with the criteria and ensure that you meet them. Your eligibility for CEs or other professional credits depends on your state licensing board and meeting the specific attendance and other requirements for your training.

I’m not a psychologist or social worker but would like to receive continuing education credit for these amazing classes. What can I do?

We regret that at this time we are unable to offer continuing education credits for teachers, educators, coaches, nurses, and other professions.

Some licensure boards may offer reciprocity. If you are licensed with another professional board, you are responsible for appealing to your professional governing body for acceptance of our coursework for continuing education credits.

After completion of a course, if you would like a general certificate of completion to use for your appeal to your governing body, please write to us with your request for a certificate of completion within one month. An administrative fee of $10 is required. It is your responsibility to submit all other forms and materials your professional governing body requires.

We will issue your certificate within one month of your request.

I have a different question about continuing education credits. Who can I ask?

Please first thoroughly read through this page. If you don’t see an answer to your question, send an email to our team and we will get back to you as soon as possible (hopefully within one week). We are a small team that is dedicated to giving you prompt responses, and sometimes we may not be able to reply immediately. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Who qualifies for CTC Continuing Education (CE) Credits?

CTC is able to provide CEs to licensed psychologists, social workers (LSWs and LCSWs), and counselors (LPCs and LCPCs) in the state of Illinois (per license #268000085).

For professionals outside the state of Illinois, please check your state’s licensing board to ensure you meet the criteria for receiving CEU credits.

What are the prerequisites for obtaining CEs for Sarah’s eligible courses?

  1. Make sure you meet your state licensing board’s specific continuing education requirements.
  2. CTC requires as close to 100% live class attendance as possible. See attendance policy below.

What is the attendance policy?

Attendance requirements have changed. We encourage 100% live attendance; however, if you are unable to attend some classes live, we will ask for your verification of watching the recorded video(s).

All CE students will be required to answer 4-5 question post-course questions. These results at this time will not be shared anywhere.

We value the integrity of our online CE learning process and are happy to be able to offer more flexibility with the revised attendance requirement.

What is the process for obtaining a CE certificate with CTC, once I know I will meet all of the prerequisites?

1) Complete the CE request form by the deadline stated in the course materials. The CE request form will be emailed to you in your course registration welcome email and will also be in your course’s classroom.

  • For webinars and weekend intensives, the deadline to complete the course request form is typically the day before the course begins.
  • For multi-week courses, this is typically one week before the course ends.

2) Pay the CE fee at this link here by the deadline stated in the course materials.

  • This is typically the last day of class; however, you may pay anytime starting from when you submit your request form. We appreciate the extra time to track payments.

3) Complete the post-course questions that will be emailed to you.

4) Fill out CTC’s course evaluation form by the deadline stated in the course materials.

The course evaluation form will be made available to you on the last day of class via email. Here are instructions for how to access your CE certificate:

  1. Click on the evaluation link, and this will take you to the CTC Training Center website. Before you can “enroll” in the course, you will need to create an account with CTC first (just for your first course, and it’s free). Click on the “Enroll for Free” button.
  2. Once you have created an account, you can follow the link to the evaluation again and enroll in the course. You may have to click the link again to be able to access the course to enroll.
  3. Once enrolled, click “Complete and Continue” after the first welcome screen, and that will begin the evaluation. (Please note: there is no “back” button, so once you complete each evaluation question you will not be able to go back to edit it.)
  4. Download your certificate once the evaluation is complete. The CTC evaluation link must be completed by the deadline stated in class, 2 weeks after the last day of class. CTC will neither accept CE certificate requests nor provide CE certificates after this date.

How much do CEs cost, and how do I pay?

Cost varies based on the type of course as shown below:

Type/Length of course Cost
Constellations and Neuroscience Webinars $40
Full course – less than 16 hours $55
Full course – 16+ hours $75

*Some courses may be priced differently, please check the advertised price in the event listing and in your course welcome letter.

You can make payment at https://sarahpeyton.com/product/purchase-a-ce-certificate-ctc after filling out the CE request form.

How do you track live attendance?

We refer to automated Zoom reports to verify attendance.

If your Zoom screen name is different from the name that appears on your professional license, we ask that you provide us your Zoom screen name in order for us to be able to verify your presence.

What if I can't attend all classes live? Can I get partial CE credits?

The policy has changed and yes! Participants may receive credit for any missed live course hours. CTC follows the stipulations set forth by the Illinois state board for its CE sponsors. We enjoy as close to 100% live attendance as possible, to ensure the integrity of the learning experience, and for community and practice opportunities.

Thank you, CCA!

We enjoyed our years of partnership with CCA, and are full of gratitude for their support of Sarah Peyton’s CE program! Looking forward to our new partnership with CTC!
