What if the patterns you’ve inherited could become pathways to healing?
Join a year-long exploration of Emergent Constellations — Sarah Peyton’s relational neuroscience–based method for unwinding the frozen strands of trauma and buried nervous-system vows from our ancestors, families, and past selves that sway the course of our lives.
Throughout this 12-month immersion in the theory and practice of Emergent Constellations, you’ll discover how healing happens in the brain and the body — and how to release what keeps us from repeating history — so you can flourish, live fully, and offer your gifts with ease.

Emergent Constellations integrate relational neuroscience and an understanding of the human brain and its response to trauma into Family Constellations and Systemic Constellations traditions and forms. We hope this offering will support you in knowing whether or not Emergent Constellations are for you, and that you feel more confident in participating if you decide to join us.

Why Study Emergent Constellations with Sarah?
People come to study constellations with Sarah Peyton because they’ve witnessed how relational neuroscience transforms this work.
Sarah’s methodology uses moment-by-moment awareness of the nervous system to support deep and sustainable transformation. We begin with attunement, using awareness of our own body sensations, thoughts, and feelings to navigate to our facilitator neutral. We learn how to attune to the client and observe what is present in the field.
Constellation facilitation moves along a spectrum — from constellations led and interpreted by the facilitator to those that emerge from the field itself, where representatives’ movements and voices reveal the healing that wants to happen. Emergent constellations can make family constellations more accessible and more predictably supportive for clients.
By incorporating the research-based tools of Resonant Healing — including unconscious contracts, time travel empathy, and resonant language — facilitators can support clients with trauma in changing their brains and moving toward lasting emotional resolution.

What You'll Learn
February 13-15, 2026
Sarah’s approach to Emergent Constellations encourages facilitators to integrate relational neuroscience and an understanding of relational vs instrumental language into the work. Participants learn the basics of constellation work within the framework of emergent constellations, and enter into a meaningful partnership with reps and clients to harvest all the wisdom that is present in the field.
For beginners and experienced practitioners alike, this 3-day, 15-hour class will give you the vocabulary and experience you need to enjoy other facilitation classes.
February 20, 2026
It is possible for representations that we hold to bring us deep experiences of joy and meaning. How can we approach our work as representatives from a stance that is most likely to open doors for us to a larger understanding of the human condition?
Module 2: Finding Ourselves in the Web of Our Contracts and Loyalties
March 13, 2026
Once we have begun to understand unconscious contracts, we start to notice how common they are, and how they are the props and supports of every waking moment for most of us. How do we find ourselves in such a world, and how can we look in order to see people’s true selves inside their contracts?
Module 3: The Role and Resolution of Trauma in Constellations
April 10, 2026
Trauma is the element that most brings people to seek healing from constellations. In this class, we will learn the hallmarks of trauma, how to recognize its effects, and what to look for and offer in constellations in order to create resolution.
Module 4: Healing our Sense of Mother
May 8, 2026
We learn how to love ourselves and others from our mothers, less from what they try to teach us, and more from the way they care for themselves. The relationship with mother forms the way the inside of our brains feel, the way we pay attention, and the way we live. Constellation work is one of the most effective approaches to bringing change and healing to our sense of mother. This session will explore ways to bring this healing about.
Module 5: Healing our Sense of Father
June 12, 2026
We learn how to interface with the world, and how to play, from our fathers, less from what they try to teach us, and more from the way they themselves interface with the world. When there are problems with our father’s relationship with his world, or with us, it impacts our ability to gain traction in our lives. Constellation work is one of the most effective approaches to bringing change and healing to our sense of father and world. This session will explore ways to bring this healing about.
Module 6: Finding our Right Place as Parents/Mentors
July 10, 2026
One of the most difficult things for us as both parents and mentors is to find our right place in relationship to our children or mentees. Sibling relationships can also be very confusing, especially with favor going more to one child than another. Many things keep us stuck trying to get other people’s attention, or to make sure that others are okay, instead of being able to be grounded in our own lives, and instead of simply being able to let the love flow through us. Constellation work teaches us where to locate ourselves, and how to let our attention, and our love, flow through us. This session will explore ways to reposition and open ourselves.
Module 7: Working with the Hidden: Secrets and the Unconscious in Families
August 14, 2026
When a sense that something is secret arises in a constellation, what might it point us toward? What can we do when there are secrets in our families or in our constellations, and what is the neuroscience of how such things might feel, and might affect us?
Module 8: Acknowledging Scale and Magnitude in Constellations
September 11, 2026
One of the things that stops brains from integrating difficult life experience, and keeps trauma memories suspended in our daily consciousness, instead of moving through us, is the scale and magnitude of what we’ve lived through. If no one can acknowledge the enormity of our hard times, then they continue to plague us. Once we understand this, constellation work can be ideal for helping us to move through and integrate our lives.
Module 9: Opening the Door to Mystery and Awe in Constellations
October 2, 2026
Some of the loveliest and most nourishing things that happen in life are the moments of mystery and awe. Sometimes they even happen in constellations. What can we do to open ourselves to more mystery and awe in both our constellations, and in general in our lives?
Module 10: Supporting the Movement Through Heartbreak in Constellations
November 13, 2026
Our hearts can be broken in so many ways ‘ by lost love, the death of parents, siblings, children, good friends, the loss of land, of home, of livelihood, of passion ‘ how can constellations help us survive, heal and grow to love again?
Module 11: Negotiating Death and Darkness in Constellations
December 11, 2026
Transitions are always difficult. Our death, the death of people who are important to us, the way time is always slipping away, these things hurt us and make it hard to breathe. What can constellations do to help us?
Module 12: The Resurrection of Hope in Constellations
January 15, 2027
Hope is both impossible and indispensable. It buoys us up, it makes people happy, it makes life worth living, and at the same time the circumstances of the world and of our lives make it difficult to catch any hope at all. Constellations, with their expansive and paradoxical ability to reflect reality, can take us a giant step toward the integration of life-giving skeptical hope and optimism.

Constellations Certification Program FAQ
What are Emergent Constellations and how are they different from what people call “Family Constellations?”
Beginning in the 2010’s, Sarah Peyton began to explore the convergence of relational neuroscience and Family Constellations. She began to ask the questions: How can research from the world of neuroscience inform and provide leverage for our constellation facilitation? How can the science of the healing of emotional trauma improve our work for our clients and give us solid ground in a world that has been deeply intuitive and inspired, without any loss of the gifts of intuition and inspiration? Working in this area, she began to see that much of the work of constellations that had traditionally been done interpersonally, between family members and between generations, could also be done within the self. It became clear that the work could be done within the brain, with different brain parts being represented, that the knowledge of the way that brains work could be seen in the workings of constellations, and that it was possible to integrate the learnings from the world of healing emotional trauma into the way that constellations were done, and track and support positive brain change in the movements of representatives.
Constellations can be done on a continuum from very directed, where the resolution is happening within the facilitator and then being dictated to the representatives in the field, to very emergent, where the movements are arising from the spontaneous interplay of representatives and their voices with little to no direction from the facilitator. This second, emergent approach allowed the healing movements of the brain to be reflected in the constellations group in a comprehensive way, and worked very well with the integration of relational neuroscience.
Sarah began to teach this integration, and in honor of the spontaneous healing movements that arose from it, she calls this work “Emergent Constellations.”
