Clearing our Broken Fields for Inner Peace

Do you sometimes notice difficult patterns in the way that you’re met in the world? Gaslighting, scapegoating, shaming?

Do your personal and work relationships sometimes take bewildering turns and you wonder why?

Are you sometimes confused by repetitive and inexplicable losses and betrayals in your life?

Have you done quite a bit of work on your relationship with yourself, without much change in how you are treated by others, and are you now wondering what’s next?

In your personal life, do you find yourself hitting confusing, repetitive blocks in your progress with work or finances, or in your relationships with others?

In working with clients, are you able to get them to a certain point, and then have the sense that there is something working against your client?

It might be one of your own or your client’s broken fields.

The idea of broken fields is a concept developed by Sarah Peyton, through her innovative work with psychology, neuroscience, and relational fields. After years of having similar experiences of being met with abandonment and scapegoating when seeking support, Sarah made the groundbreaking connection between how she was unconsciously being received by others, and unhealed traumas that she had lived through. Thus, the broken field concept came into cognition: the ways in which we carry the impact of traumas we have lived through in different areas: fathers, siblings, friends or community, and how those broken fields influence how the people around us act in relationship to us.

We all carry an imprint of our broken fields with us wherever we go. In this course, which is a stand-alone exploration but can also be a follow-on to prior Broken Mother Field classes, you’ll work with Sarah Peyton’s healing processes of unconscious contracts and time travel in order to lighten the load of these breakages that travel with us.

We will explore processes and practices to help identify the broken fields within us, recognize their patterns, and begin healing the effects of these fragmented experiences. Through this journey, we will revisit our past, our family’s past, and the histories of our communities to release unconscious contracts that we have been carrying. This work deeply engages with how collective trauma affects us personally, and we will work to reclaim the warmth and connection of our community fields. Additionally, we will learn tools to support ourselves in responding more authentically and becoming less affected by the broken fields of those around us.

This course will support both clients and practitioners to have more understanding and recognition of how broken fields show up in helping relationships: it will allow folks to walk away from fields that are harmful, and it will support practitioners to increase their capacity to have the personal introspection and awareness and skills that allow them to stay in warm and aware space in relationship with clients.

The work in this course will be deep, wide, and transformative. Prepare to develop  an increased ability to recognize patterns in your life, make sense of them, and create new strategies to work with what was previously unnamed and ungraspable. Together, we will focus on lightening and clearing the burdens within our relational fields.
