About the Event

Do you wish you could express yourself with more authenticity, but do you shudder with fear at the prospect? Instead of freely expressing, do you sometimes find yourself insulating yourself inside of a little ball, so tightly curled that you can’t breath?

Investigating the FEAR circuit in relation to creativity allows us to see our self (and the layers of insulation we’ve created) more clearly. This exploration will create room for new and fresh creative exploration, fewer crippling backlashes of fear and shame, and a confident sense of what your vast creative territory actually contains.

Experience what’s possible when you explore and create within a resonant and welcoming space that honors the uniqueness of your truth and your voice in this 6-session series dedicated to creative process and exploration.

Event Details

While staying safe in an insulated little ball is a survival strategy shared by many of us, the truth is that we are just not able to create most powerfully and effectively when we are so totally protected. This is because when we are afraid, we guard ourselves against trying new things, finding our authenticity, and exploring edgy and important subjects.

Many of us believe that the territory that we occupy is much smaller than it actually is.

Fear stops us from taking all kinds of risks in our art and creation. And this fear makes sense. For six weeks, we will work with our creativity to build a warmer relationship with our fear. A relationship that honors, recognizes, befriends, and accompanies our fear. A relationship that can unfreeze its grasp on us and lead us towards our birthright of creative freedom.

Together we will explore, with warm curiosity, some of what has happened in our past, such as: How have we been punished for our creativity? What makes us go to fear instead of play? In what ways are fear and shame intermingled inside of us? How are our voice and expression entangled with an anxiety around punishment and consequences?

Experience what’s possible when you explore and create within a resonant and welcoming space that honors the uniqueness of your truth and your voice in this 6-session series dedicated to creative process and exploration.
